Sometimes things just line up right and we are in the right place at the right time and happen to have just sold a horse when the Hargett's decided to retire from breeding. Thanks to Linda Vashino's advice and assistance, we were able to buy DD in foal and within a few weeks of her arrival, she foaled a gorgeous buckskin filly for us, her first live daughter. I consider DD my good luck horse since this year she has given us an outrageous  black and white  Sabino filly by the Curly red roan stallion, Sad Sam T. Almost every year this precious broodmare delivers a beautiful foal in a wide variety of colors.  

Sandcastle American Curlies is a breeding horse ranch located in the El Dorado County of California Gold Country. We specialize in breeding registered Missouri FoxTrotters with Curly coats and the foxtrot gait. Many people allergic to straight haired horses are able to ride and work with our Curlies due to their special coats which are frequently hypo-allergenic. We also specialize in the rarest of gaited curly bloodlines and in gorgeous, rare colors. As you can see, our prime concern is that the horses have beautifully balanced conformation but, not so apparent in our pictures, is the fact that we breed for horses that are gentle and very sweet natured.
